About Bill Boyer
Bill Boyer has been playing piano since the age of six. He honed his skills playing with a US Navy band and leading successful side bands in and around Newport, RI. In the Navy, he learned to play in a huge range of styles. As a student at the University of Delaware, he earned money by playing in night clubs and bars in Wilmington, Chester, and Philadelphia. After college, he moved to California and gigged in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley, eventually opening his own restaurant and nightclub. Since then, he has released seven CDs that include an eclectic mix of genres, including jazz, funk, big band pop, blues, country, rock and roll, and much more.
Bill's prize possession is his Yamaha Tyros4 keyboard. This rare instrument has more than 500 backing bands in the left hand and allows him to overlay any instrument known to man in the right. With this keyboard, he can do everything from backing up singers to complete one-man shows. To find out more about Bill Boyer, contact him.
